Mindy Surrett

Mindy Surrett has a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Georgia, a Master’s of Education from Kennesaw State University and an Educational Specialist from University of West Georgia.  She has been teaching for more than 25 years including Zaire, Africa where she spent 6 months for her student teaching experience and Deajeon, South Korea where she and her family were teachers and missionaries at Teajeon Christian International School (TCIS).  She currently teaches mathematics at Cartersville High School where she is also the Advanced Academic Coordinator, Math Team Advisor, Mu Alpha Theta Advisor, Governor's Honors Coordinator, and Varsity Swim team head coach.  She has been an AP Calculus exam reader for more than three years, and she teaches at Georgia Highlands College as an adjunct professor.  Mrs. Surrett is married and has four children: John, 21; Hannah, 20; Matthew, 13, and Luke, 9. In her spare time she enjoys attending ballgames to watch her boys play, spending time with her daughter, reading, and walking.
